Ask these four things

  1. How long is the walk and how many kilometres?
  2. Is the trail paved, gravel or natural ground?
  3. Are there steps, ladders or stream crossings?
  4. How large is the group?

Small groups move slower and stop more, which usually suits a relaxed traveller. Night walks cover very little distance but the ground is uneven and dark.
